Flick Terms of Service

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Flick ("Flick", "we", "us" or "our"), the operator of the Flick mobile application and the website helloflick.app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Flick.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Flick. By using the app you confirm that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Flick is designed for parents and other adults organising family life; children may not create or use accounts.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly at support@helloflick.app if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

4. The Service

Flick helps you capture and plan tasks, manage grocery lists, pantry items, meals and habits, and share these with members of your family group. We are continuously improving Flick and may add, change or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce the core functionality of the service.

5. Your Content

You keep all rights to the content you create in Flick — your tasks, lists, notes, photos, profiles and other data ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, transmit and display Your Content solely as needed to provide the service to you and the family members you share it with.

You are responsible for Your Content, including information you enter about other people. When you enter information about your children or other family members, you confirm that you have the right and authority — as parent, legal guardian or otherwise — to provide it.

6. AI Features

Flick includes optional features powered by artificial intelligence (for example task processing, recipe suggestions and photo-based pantry scanning). AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation. You must review AI suggestions before relying on them. Flick's AI output and its health-appointment features are organisational tools only — they are not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, and you should not use them as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

Content you share with a family group is visible to its members. You control who you invite; we are not responsible for the conduct of group members or for how they use content you share with them. Leaving a group or removing a member does not necessarily delete content that was already shared.

9. Fees

Flick is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features or subscriptions in the future; if we do, we will tell you in advance and any charges will only apply if you opt in.

10. Third-Party Services

Flick is built on third-party services, including Google Firebase (authentication, data storage, notifications, analytics) and OpenAI (AI processing). Your use of Flick is also subject to any terms those providers impose on end users of the relevant platform (for example, the app store from which you downloaded Flick).

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it, including your rights to export and delete your data. It forms part of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using Flick at any time and may permanently delete your account from Settings ("Legal & privacy" → "Delete account") or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service (with reasonable notice where practicable). On termination, your right to use the service ends and your data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Flick is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that data will never be lost — please keep your own copies of information that is important to you (you can use the in-app data export).

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flick will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or 50 USD. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including in jurisdictions that do not allow certain exclusions — in those places, our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Flick harmless from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the service in breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of Flick after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Flick is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply and give you additional rights.
